nope. everywhere was either OoS or website down yesterday. So I'll wait for a 16GB 3070ti or 20GB 3080 as leaked earlier. Also depends what Big Navi brings to the table. If they all suck then a 3060 or AMD equivalent to tide me over. Or more likely a 2nd hand 1080ti or thereabouts.
No idea, however if I can't get a FE card for either the 3080 20GB or 3090, then I'll probably completely forget it and stick with my 2080 FE.
No, might go to a 3070 next year. Would never be so desperate to have the latest thing, as to buy as soon as a new GPU is launched. I'm not paying the early adopter premium.
Depends on when/if I get mine shipped.
Had one ordered from CCL, thinking the minor price gouge was OK, but then 3 hours later get told that the stock level was not correct.
Had one ordered from OcUK but the wonderful people at HSBC denied the payment.
I guess if my house purchase is delayed another month I can afford a 3090 easily :/
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
Eh, no. I reckon that would be overkill for 1080p gaming on 24" monitor. I'll keep my pennies for something else.
Yes, I will be but I might wait a little longer for the 16gb/20gb variants that could be coming out
If it was what NVidia had told us it was going to be, then yes, I would have happily stumped up £650 on a new card but they're playing silly buggers so thinking that the 3070/BigNavi might be more like it depending on how much of a fantasy launch they are...
Trying to, but bots.
I would have if it was 250W but no from me. Waiting for the 3070 and Big Navi now.
If I decide to update at the end of the year (toying with waiting on ryzen 5000/zen 4 with likely AM5 socket and if there are any covid round 2 price hikes) it's going to be 3080 20GB (if true) or a 3090 most likely but not for gaming performance, it's cuda performance and memory for 3D rendering etc.
Might look at a 3070 early next year. Depending on price of course. No rush, as my 1080ti still managing pretty well really. Hey... maybe AMD might pull a rabbit out of a hat. That would be a turn up for the books.
Rather let the "enthusiasts" be the initial beta testers!
Live long and prosper.
I will once the rush has died down
Why is Hexus not covering the news on the 3080 launch being a **** show? How is that not news?
I most certainly,,,,,,,,,,, will not
But add a lotto win and me getting the urge to build a new PC that is "The best of the best of the best,,,,,SIR"
Then that might happen, even if no one make a bloody game worth playing.
To be honest after all these years of nerding out, it is somewhat of a relief to be able to chill about things like new GFX cards ASO
Nope, but I did capitalise on the great big hullabaloo to grab a couple of super cheap 20 series cards.
