oh be honest. It's cause your preorder got cancelled and you haven't been able to find another legitimate seller for love nor money.

Sounds like something to compensate for missing memory bandwidth, I worry it would need per game optimisations to work well.
If so reminds me a bit of Fury cards which had similar problems but the other way around - massive bandwidth but short of total memory. At the time AMD stuck some engineers on optimising benchmark favourites so they looked good, but that was only a short term sticking plaster that fell off as the card aged.

I sit on a 1080ti, in a HEDT build, it is not much about the money, but what I get for the money, also I usually skip 1-2 generations by standard, I am very curious about AMD, and for gaming, mostly because all developers is now developing for AMD gear that is resting inside the new consoles... it would seem logic to wait... not upgrading GFX card when I cant get the full gain out of, ill wait to DDR5 comes out... and yes namely with Nvidia, you can first really feel the difference if you do jump 1-2 generations by standard... I want to see what red team has as well, am not into brands, been Intel for years, but going AMD next time because I get more value, unless Intel really dishes out something flawless next year same time.

I expected to see explained abstract in the article. I feel like these articles recently are getting more shallow day to day.
Don't get me wrong but "new picture of 'this' chip" or articles that says "this word will change the world" are not turning me on...

intel won't materialise any time soon. We've been here before with Larrabee. By the time they iron out the bugs the competition has evolved out of reach so they quietly shelve it and PR spin it as a "learning exercise to inform our on-die integrated designs"

aw come on, you mean this picture doesn't get you going?

In all seriousness it's presumably the race to get headline and traffic before other competitors. It wouldn't be so bad if they then updated the article with more substance later but it doesn't happen. It's the same on the BBC too. Dumbing down quality for clickbait headlines and short pithy articles presumably for phone viewing by people with seemingly the attention span of an ADHD child.

    beefy chick!

That's weird for Hexus, I mean it's not like it's high on the general google search anyways.
Decent quality articles was one of the reasons I am following the news site for 5 or more years now.
I complain because it's headache to search another descent source, but if this the way to go...

That's clearly a trademark application, not a patent. The url you linked has "trademarks" in it. The heading of he graphic says "Trademark details". So why is this being reported as a patent? Hugely different things...

It's just a big L2 cache with a fancy name. Technologically there's nothing new here. A bigger cache means fewer trips to the GPU memory, reducing the dependence on bandwidth. There's nothing here that GPUs don't already do, so no reason to think it'd need per-game optimisation.

Indeed but its 128mb instead of say 4mb on other cards...
If they can use the cache well...

Hey I'm not into livestreaming food being fed to people lol
