Chrysler first with across-the-range iPod option

Chrysler will be the first American car maker to provide full iPod integration as an option in most of its 2006 models according to TWICE - the USA's leading consumer-electronics trade magazine - with over 3 million 2006 Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge models offering "seamless" iPod integration beginning this spring for US$175, plus installation.

$175 for a line or aux in cable and mostly likely a hole to put the thing in is pretty ridiculous really.

Is this iPod contol or just an aux in?

I think the new 2006 Fiesta has Aux in as standard across it's whole range (going by a bilboard i was staring at while stuck in traftic)

by across the range they mean all their car models..

other car companies do this already, note careful use of the word 'american'
