Since this phone doesnt have built-in GPS i guess I gotta do away with external ones, but the bluetooths GPS receivers i've seen are way too bulky, is there anything that is a bit small ? or could stick into the phone ? Dont really want to change to Nokia N95 or the Orbit cause I love the thumbboard. Thx for any suggestion

I got one of these. I got mine from a web shop for about £45, though the price appears to have dropped.
It is very small, and is roughy twice the size of it's battery. It takes a Nokia BL-5C BTW, which is the same as loads of Nokia phones, so if you have a compatible phone, it is easy to keep it charged.
The GPS recvever is very sensitive, so for driving you can put it almost anywhere in your car and it will still work. (Mine is in the driver's foot well). I have it near permanantly plugged in to the car charger, so that when ever I want to navigate via tom-tom, I just reach down to turn it on, fire up tom-tom on my phone, and then after 30 seconds or so I am ready to go.

I have a holux GPSlim 236, with tomtom software running on mine. The 240 model is even smaller (about half a small box of matches)
I would caution against that sort of solution for hiking, as neither your phone nor the GPS are waterproof or particulary tough. The last thing you want is to get caught in a rainstorm, or slip and fall into a river, only to discover that your GPS has stopped working, and you have no idea how to get to safety.Originally Posted by Hans Voralberg

I think you would be much better an outdoor specific GPS unit from Garmin or Magelan, as they are waterproof, shock proof, and have software designed for outdoor use rather than car navigation. gpsw.co.uk have a great range of GPS units, including a specal offer on a Garmin eTrex Vista with europen maps for about £100.
I only do short-to-medium distance on the outskirt of town on sunny days so it wont be too bad i supposed
