Using a Three SIM in a generic N95?

Whats the deal with Three SIM's and the Three network?

Will a 3 sim work in my N95? It was originally on O2, but has been flashed to a generic unbranded N95.

I seem to remember something about Three having problem with phones that did not have specific Three firmware, or will it be fine?

I use my other halves Three SIM in my N95 (she has too many texts and minutes in her bundle). Yes a Three SIM does work in an unlocked N95.
