    Vodafone - Cold Calling?!

I've had two calls from the following number: 0845 2453200. I didn't pick up.

A quick google pulled up a couple of results, one from the Vodafone forum itself (see here)

According to the above url the forum admins confirm it is from Vodafone but that partly contradicts what has been said over here.

Anyhow, have any of you been plagued recently with Vodafone cold calling you?

Quite annoyed that they are cold calling me.

I had some cold calls recently... they were a company *pretending* to be from o2. Where did you purchase your phone/contract from? It seems like Carphonewarehouse sold my details onto third parties... as soon as I ordered my contract I started to recieve these calls

    Re: Vodafone - Cold Calling?!

Mine is a Vodafone phone/contract. Have had it for almost 9 years (contract) with about 3 changes of phones. On my fourth right now. Seems bizarre to get this calls out of the blue and it's VERY irritating; every weekday at differing times of the day...I want to block/blacklist that number on my handset.

They handily left a voicemail today too...it was empty noise for about 5 seconds with music playing faintly in the background...as if it was out of someone's room.

    Re: Vodafone - Cold Calling?!

Vodafone don't usually cold call people. After taking a contract out you may get an automated call for a customer satisfaction survey which is literally just pressing numbers for experiences.

I have had a few people in store past few days asking the same thing, some of them their upgrades wern't due for another 8 month or so. Going on that alone tells you it isn't Vodafone as our policy on upgrades is 2 months before the commitment period is up.

Phones4U do buy people out of their contracts early so it could possibly be them that are calling you
