    new phone gremlin

finally got a new phone but having trouble with texts.
if i create a new text and send it to the mrs it goes fine.
If she replies the number comes back as being 44(then rest of her number) which i cant then reply to. How do i stop this happening?
I haave her correct number stored as 0xxxxxx but for some reason it changes when she replies to me.
Ive tried getting tmobile to send me my sms settings but that doesnt seem to work for some reason - am a bit stuck with what to do next

    cheers

    Re: new phone gremlin

You can reply to that number, it shouldn't be a problem. Depending on the phone you have and the way the SMS Service Centre Number is setup it goes through an International route, this is just so if you are abroad and want to send a text message.

When you reply to that number does it go at all or you have't tried?

    What phone is it?

    Re: new phone gremlin

my phone is an x10 mini pro new out of the box with new sim card etc.
when i try and send to the text it just says fail to send an then yesterday i got a message saying

    network msg

"yesterday you sent a message to an invalid number uk mobile numbers start with 07 or +447 number starting without the leading + are invalid"

IM a bit puzzled not sure why the number is being changed to just 44xxx and weather its a problem with my phone or not

    Re: new phone gremlin

Might sound obvious but have you deleted the contact, saved it, and then re entered the phone number? I had this problem once on my HTC Desire with a random contact, re-entered the number and never had the problem again.
