I think I turned off the resizing of pictures, I probably turned off everything that seemed like re-encoding in the options on iTunes (I run it on an old laptop, to avoid cluttering my dev/game boxes), the thing is it has a 32gb memory, and we're not talking 1000s of pictures, only hundreds, and I'm using a nice K-5 with a 16-50mm f2.8 lens, I want to be able to appreciate all of the picture, I quite like some shots were they are decent as a crop, and as a wider one. That might be it, the tabs, I've got about 9 open because I assumed they get paged out, well they get forced to reload sometimes so I'm assuming its a page out scenario. I'll have a play with it. But its not the loading, its the scrolling that pisses me off too. Ok I will confess this, I spend about 6-10hours a day on PCs which are all £2K value range, £3k for the laptop, so I'm probably a little spiolt by the nature of my work.True, but my comment is that it seems the best way to browse is via the app, be it BBC news or Bloomberg, and yes the Bloomberg app is quite cool, but its missing out some of the great news stuff....
I wrote this rant on a PC, I know how to copy and paste, its more an example I find this so incredibly frustrating I'm willing to write it out by hand......
Say your on holiday, in a fairly major city, your mate left the guide book on the plane, because he's a retard, you think no worry I'll just download trip advisor, maybe a few city guide apps (mostly written for the phone). Each time you go back in, you have to re-enter password..... I've found no setting to turn it off for free apps.
Hmm, that might be it, it might be a duff one, could easily explain why the browsing is so painful too (might take a little video to show it)
The kindle is still my preferred read-from-magical-slab-thing.
