No, I haven't yet. I'll do that and see if it helps.
Re: Google Nexus 7 Discussion Thread
Can anybody recommend a remote desktop app for the nexus 7? I want to control my HP microserver from the nexus. I'm running WHS 2011 on the server.

I've got a mixture of both, can't say I've had any issues with either. The accounts on TV certainly make things a bit easier. What's horrific about it?

So, not really "horrific"
If it came with a free unicorn, would it be good enough for you then?
Re: Google Nexus 7 Discussion Thread
Thanks for the replies. Will try Teamviewer and see how I get on.

Depends how long you are logged on for and what you are doing, if you are trying to do a long remote session through teamviewer when the connection is a little flaky... its horrific (i say this because i have had to do it a lot recently). One of the most frustrating things to deal with. If we are talking about remoting on a tablet over 3G or something, i hope its something REALLY simple that you hope to do because otherwise you might find a nexus shaped hole in the nearest window.
Wouldn't something that used the proper RDP protocol be a lot better?
Re: Google Nexus 7 Discussion Thread
I have 3 questions for everyone:
Did/does anyone else suffer from the "one year old lag" issues?
I did and I tried everything to speed it back up again with no luck, in the end I've just wiped it and I'm starting from fresh. Apparently its something to do with TRIM commands not being sent to the flash controller which was fixed in 4.2 but couldn't retrospectively fix any problems that had occurred before the update.
Anyone got the 4.3 update yet?
I'm still waiting :(
Anyone considering the new Nexus 7?
I didn't think I would be, but I actually am. I'm thinking of taking out an LTE sim and getting the 4G one. Not straight away once they are released, after the last nightmare I had I think I will wait for the market to settle and then get one.
Re: Google Nexus 7 Discussion Thread
Re: Google Nexus 7 Discussion Thread
4.2.2 can use TRIM, you just need an app to do so as opposed to the OS doing it automatically.
Re: Google Nexus 7 Discussion Thread
Im a little bit gutted i gave up and wiped mine now, i lost my score on Hungry Shark Evolution :(

My nephew LOVES that game. Can\'t get him off it.
Backing that data up is easy anyway - just use Titanium backup or Mybackuproot
Re: Google Nexus 7 Discussion Thread
