Motorola V3 - anyone got one?

Has anyone got the new Motorola V3? If so, what is your opinion on it? Im thinking of getting this phone for its slim lovelyness and looks, but I am worried that the functionality wont match.

I've had a small play around with it, but don't own it.

Hardware-wise, it's a lovely phone. It looks great and the keys are nice to the touch. If you're buying this phone purely from a fashion point of view then it's a great phone. The screen isn't bad either.

However, it's got a lot of niggling problems. It seems very slow navigating around menus, it doesn't sync all that great and the battery life is poor. I only tried taking a couple of pictures with it but the camera seems to be a bad as every other Motorola phone I've ever seen.

I think, like with all phones really, it's best to try before you buy.

Like all Motorolas, the design is excellent but the functionality never lives up to the promise...

It's just a V600 in a new case. I think it's quite nice but I do expect the battery life to be awful, especially as it has quite a large screen. And it doesnt look that amazing when you see it IMO. It is amazingly slim, but then it's also very wide...all they've done is flatten it out.

It's a nice idea, but I really think there are better ways to spend the silly money they're asking for it.

    Moto v3 (confused)

Hi everybody, well i've just signed up and become a memeber so firstly, hey everyone!

I bought a motorola V3 on friday , was impressed with a 100% wow factor as soon as i started opening the aluminium casing. Saw and touched the phone, was blown away. Its gorgeous. Plain, simple and seriously sexy. Now, the bad:

Turned it on, played around with the features and the OS isnt *THE* most initiutive but its solid, stable and relatively quick. The battery life is very good but one thing i've now come to realize after reading RAMPAGE's post is that i also have the "pre-production" version. Mine doesnt seem to have phonebook 3D, Aol instant messenger and a few other applications. I want to know if anybody in the same situation has done something about this i.e. upgraded the fone? Im not sure but it really annoys me that i dont have all the applications Any suggestions? And could some who has the V3 or Moto V600 kindly post some wap settings (orange)? Thanks

It looks nice, but agree with what's been said above, it's thin, but very wide. Also, I hate the menu system and the speed that Motorola phones (don't) have.

tHE 3d pHONE BOOK IA LOCATED UNDER THE FOLLOWING; Menu>Games and Apps. Tehn right down at the end of this list is PHONEBOOK 3D.... its **** anyway, I played around with it for ten minutes or so and thougnt.. "what a waste of time". The fact is it stored under "games" should be a clue to its design and content... its just dumb.

It think it's listed under games cause it is 3D? How stupid...

I just ordered mine today - need to replace my aging T610 - which is SLOW, unreliable and crap So I figure this can't be 'worse'...besides it looks so hot

My dad has one, and it's one of the most smartest looking gadgets I've ever seen. Yes, the UI does not live up to the hardware standards, but it is still very solid and intuitive. If you are thinking about getting this phone, get it, if you are anything like me, you will love it too much to be worried about small niggles
