Unlike SE with their generally (lastest models excluded here) slow and none intuitive software. I never liked the build quality on them either, and their reliability factor...well its not much worse than nokias but at least its easy to get a nokia repaired..
One man's meat is another man's poison. Just relax dude. I've own both, I personally find my SE more enjoyable, but I had an old Nokia before so it isn't a fair comparison. People take this so personally it is scary, like a religion for them. It is just a phone! if you don't like one brand don't use/buy it.

OT: Tell me about it, I got one of those 'great' email chain letters from a friend the other day. I'm glad she is still speaking to me.

I used to be Nokia through and through, got very used to their menus and what have you, but I have recently purchased an Orange Smartphone C550, and whilst I have niggles about it, it is cool to be able to play MP3's, sync with my laptop, do my email, get my appointments, and watch full length movies etc on my phone. Even though the last one makes your eyes hurt after a bit LOL. Still miss the Nokia's simple menu system though. Never tried any other brands (Sony, LG, Motorola etc) so can't really comment on those.

    Treo 650

Loads of Nokia before that, which all did just the job I wanted of them, but then I also had to carry a sequence of palm Pilot around as well.

The Treo means I only have to carry one device - great.

1 question - I can see Sony is popular - why are so many technically literate people still supporting the rootkit terrorists? Can you trust them not to absue your kit?

    - written on my Sony Vaio!

Sony Ericsson P910i is a great little phone although it doesn't have wi-fi or 3G.

Its such a handy little organiser, and fits in your pocket no probs.

Has anyone any comments on the HTC Universal / O2 XDA eXEC / T-mobile MDA Pro ? Thanks

They all have wi-fi and 3G, but the P990 will be out soon. Not sure what to go for. The screen has now been made smaller on the P990. Personally I thought the keyboard on the P910 was fine on the flip...

The screen on the P990 is the same size diagonally as the P910.

It just looks smaller because they've made it shorter (and wider) and there's less plastic around it.
