    Upgrading

My (looooong) contract with t-mobile is coming to an end and so I think it is time to upgrade. But what is the best way to do it? Is it via t-mobile? Carphonewarehouse? Or some company I have never heard of? I am not sure what phone to get, but some PDA functions would be good. Not SE though, the 2 SE phones I have had were not of the greatest quality. And onr was the 910i which was v expensive.

If you contact T Mobile you can upgrade direct through them. Also doing it this way, if you don't like the phone which you order you have 14 days to get in touch with them and say you don't like the phone and wish to send it back. They usually get stuff sent out pretty quickly also provided they have it in stock. You used to be able to upgrade via the my account on the website if you have that set up.

As long as they receive the e-mail to the returns department (make sure you keep a copy of the dated e-mail incase of loss their end) you have the DSR (distance selling regulations) on your side for the return.

It can also depend on how much you spend with them each month on how much they will offer you on an upgrade. If you don't spend that much monthly you may have to pay for the phone outright.

This is not a dead loss though if that happens. You can carry your current number over to another network, just ask for the pac code (port authority code) from customer services. Then simply go into a shop look at the deals and find what you want. Give them the pac code and your old number will be transferred to your new line with a different network within 14 days of connection.

Thanks, I usually spend £30 to £40, so not a lot, but not a small amount either. I will ring them on Monday!
