Windows Mobile 5 - Tips and tricks

I've had a quick search here for similar threads and not found any, so here goes.
Post your Mobile 5 tips and tricks here. I'll start.
If you want to use custom ringtones, copy your wma/mp3/whatever format ringtones in the My device\application data\sounds directory

I suppose this is a bit late since Mobile 6 is milliseconds away.....

Make sure you use a task manager program like InClose (freeware), so that programs actually close rather than minimise and slow it down until it crshes or become completely unusable. Why there is not an option to do this in the standard OS is utterly bizarre (i think the next version will).

Windows mobile is the worst mobile OS out of the box, it's pathetic. With a few decent programs (like Resco Explorer, i-launcher and TCPMP etc) it soon becomes the best by miles.

I've never understood that. Press the X and you'd think it would actually close the program
I just use the memory manager before pocketing it.

I use vBar to manage running application.

On the x51, ActiveSync will reopen itself every 10 minutes and then potentially proceed to chew up memory. I learnt this tip from the AximSite forum. It is called the "fake server" trick over there.

Basically, it involves going into ActiveSync, creating a made up exchange server. This activates the Schedule option which you can change from "Every 10 minutes" to "Manually".
