It's ok, it looks nice, but lacks lots of features IE and FF have. I uninstalled it after a week or so, there was also a large exploit discovered only 24 hours or so after it's release, but this was fixed within a few days.

Fanboys will say it's only Beta, but still it isn't that good.

Quick summary: it's crap (font rendering useless, speed nowhere near the claims, acts completely unlike every other Windows app to annoy you), some people think it's there for iPhone support (they may be right) and goes bang a lot. Oh, and it's not anywhere near secure either.

Other than that - it's great

It goes slower than Firefox for me. Web pages take ages.

Where by "useless" you mean "doesn't look the same as Windows font anti-aliasing"; it's actually pretty damned good (compare the output to a PDF, for instance), with very good kerning and sub-pixel anti-aliasing; not Microsoft's flawed ClearType. The main problem appears to be that people think that different equates to bad. I've heard just as many people praise it.

Care to substantiate this? I tried it with the Slickspeed test and found it to be massively, massively faster than Firefox or IE7. This isn't surprising when you consider the reasons why Apple chose KHTML over Gecko as the basis for their browser.

This I agree with. I think Apple could have done a far better job of making it act like a Windows application (using standard Window chrome) but this probably would have required them to practically redesign its main window UI.

So far a lot of the initial exploits that were found have been patched (breathtakingly quick considering that there are critical exploits for IE7 that have existed for months and are still unpatched). Apple take security seriously, so I would imagine by the time we get to a final release it'll be just as secure as, say, Firefox (if not more so).
