Angry Internet Explorer 6.0 on Win 2003 issue

    Hi all,
I'm hoping one of you 'experts' will be able to help me with this problem.
I have a Windows 2003 Server and I'm trying to access the Internet on it. I keep getting "Account is locked out" message, as the account that I was accessing the net via became locked - duh !
Anyway, for some god-forsaken reason I cannot for the life of me seem to get IE to re-prompt me for a username/password !?
It's almost as if it is continually looking at the old username/password combo that is locked - perhaps the box was ticked to 'remember password', but without the dialog box coming back up, how the hell can I uncheck it ?

Any help greatly appreciated, as I've lost a few hairs with frustration on this one.

    Thanks

Not quite sure what you are trying to do... What do you mean by "accessing the internet on it"? Are trying to access the dat the server contains using IE6? Are you trying to log in to administer it using a web based interface, or is it a machine that is running server 2003 that you are also using to gain access to the internet for general browsing using IE?

Sorry, twas a tad ambiguous wasn't it ! I meant that I was wanting to access the internet using IE on my Windows 2003 server.
Anyway, I've sorted it - I found an option in Control Panel called "Stored User Names & Passwords". In there was an old user entry. I deleted that and added my credentials instead, et voila

    Thanks for your reply anyway.
