IE & Opera have stopped working :(

    o/s - Vista Ulimate x64

Righty ho, just moved from ID Net to an all in one Virgin package. Turned off the PC, took out old router, put in new router (Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2), switched back on.

Vista tells me it's recognised a new network and called it Network 2. Fine.
Open IE, type in the given address 10.0.0.2 and it couldnt find it, tried opera, same problem, shut browsers down & got this message:

opened up a command prompt, pinged the router ip, fine, no probs.

check out the connection, seems fine, data passing thro, so try browsers again & same result, nil, nada, nowt, nothing.

In desperation, fire up IEx64, connect to router, configure successfully, commit & reboot, fire up IEx64 again & here I am. However IE & Opera still both refuse to work. Tried the 'Diagnose Problem' route in IE, it tried to 'turn on some TCP settings but ultimately it still doesn't work, and neither does Opera, (i'm guessing opera uses IE's settings). Wierdly tho if you close IE down, it just re-starts itself?

So, whether this is a software prob or a connection prob I am unsure.

well fudge me if it wasn't NOD32 causing the problem
    http://www.planetamd64.com/lofiversi...hp?t30717.html

    as David would say..

    Odd

Uninstalled NOD, rebooted, IE, Opera, Firefox & Outlook all now work. Re-installing NOD now to see how it goes, was going to change to F-Secure anyway when my licence is up in September, if it's vistax64 compliant. Got a good review in this months PC Pro, poor old NOD32 didn't do so well.

I love solving a good puzzle before anyone's posted a suggestion/solution. Google is my bestest friend
