Hmm I think I need to change my system now

I have a MSI Neo4 Platinum SLI which has the rather good Sound Blaster Live! 24 built in (instead of an AL codec) which has always worked flawlessly with XP.

I've now upgraded to Vista Ultimate and appear to have a few issues: the whole system is fairly stable and running well, except the sound sometimes goes all "distorted". When I use the hibernate feature, the restored version of Vista sometimes loses sound all together. If I load up Winamp and try playing back something, I get a very short "playing" mode then defaults back to Stop. If I reboot, I can then playback stuff fine, but with the ocassional bit of distortion coming in.

I've tried using both the Vista supplied drivers and the XP drivers MSI provide and the issue appears to be there.

Is it get-a-new-soundcard time? Shame really as nothing is wrong and I'm very happy. It just sounds like glitchy drivers.

Anyone else have the same hardware and issues? Or suggestions please?

Cheers
