Blue screen of Death when surfing the internet

Hi,
I've recently handed my old computer down to my girlfriend, reinstalled windows (xpsp2) which has been working well for a couple of months now. Just recently, however, she has been experiencing a blue screen of death after surfing the net for approximately ten minutes. The computer restarts and seems to be fine afterwards (until the internet connection is resumed)

We have a D-link router which connects us to the net...could it be something to do with the onboard network card?

i saw this once with an extremely dodgy belkin wireless adapter

only fix was a better adapter. what exactly are you using? (a chipset would be infinitely more useful info than a product name)

....it's not wireless - and do you mean the chipset of the d-link router?
