Vista + Gigabyte DS3 RAID controller

I tried to install Ubuntu on the weekend, and it won't work - GRUB is not booting anything, I get "Error 22" on bootup.

So I'd like to fix the boot record back to the windows one, but my Vista install is on a raid-0 array using the onboard RAID controller on my gigabyte DS3.

I've given up on ubuntu for now, I just want to get back into Vista and see what the state of my drives is.

If I run Vista Recovery Console, does anyone know if it will see my RAID-0 array?

OK, I got Grub working + ubuntu works on a seperate drive (not on my raid array). Fine.

Then I used the Vista CD/DVD, went into recovery area, loaded the RAID drivers for my Gigabyte controller - the raid-array was there, the DVD detected the vista install. so I run

bootsect.exe /nt60 all

this then does something to both the drives in the RAID array, and now they are not detected as being in an array by the motherboard in it's RAID util, when they were fine before!!!

Any idea's?? Can I restore the array somehow??

If I do have to reinstall, god knows I'm not using a raid-array again.
