Dragging files in windows

Sometimes i wish to drag a lot of files from 1 drive on my PC to another. When doing so it doesn't cut and paste them, it copys them. Is there a setting in WinXP which makes windows cut and paste the files between drives instead of making copies of them?

Press and hold SHIFT while dragging.

Right click to drag them, then you are presented with a menu where you can select copy here or move here and stuff...
