Just as the subject says - which Windows 2000 service pack is best (Most stable, required fixes, etc)?

I personally believe going to the next sp about 1 month after the offical release. Means any major bugs with it have usually be hammered out, you can read the newsgroups to see any particular issues and check if anything that has happened is likely to affect you.

Its a major risk not to stay as up to date as possible with the flaws in windows code.

SP2 is what I use on my 'doze box. It fixes problems that made textures in games go wappy and apparantly sp3 and above "phone home". Not sure if that's true or not though.

SP4 makes win2k an extremely mature and stable platform.
