    Question Annoying GRUB

I recently used the option to install ubuntu on my vista machine using wubi. I then decided that I did not actually need it and uninstalled it. The only prolem is that it has been left in the boot loader as an option. Basically is there a way in which I can remove it completely from the boot loader its really annoying?

except the ability to transfer files reliably and quickly

I did a little google search and found out about what you're talking about but it doesn't look as easy as I thought it would be. Please could you tell me what commands I need to use.

download, extract to desktop, click start, type "command", right click the command prompt link and click "run as administrator". type "cd desktop" then "mbrfix" (or mbrfix64 for 64-bit)

    Re: Annoying GRUB

This isn't an actual grub problem, wubi uses Windows own bootloader to load linux. So 'fixmbr' type programs wont work since the mbr is fine (and yes, Microsoft were retarded for dumping fixmbr). You might want to go looking for a GUI BCD editing tool, or if you're comfortable with commandline tools, the Vista bcdedit is built in.
