    Vista 64 ultimate & encryption?

    Hi,

Just wondering.. does this OS encrypt user settings and maybe some other stuff by default?
I get error messages like this when touching stuff in the C:\Users\ folder..

I want to disable encryption/get rid of these errors if possible..

I've disabled UAC in user accounts, is this related to UAC? maybe theres yet more uac stuff to disable?

don't think this is a uac problem. are you logged into an admin account? if you're not then afaik you can't access another user's folders

Unless that user has given access permission.

It logs you in as an Administrative user, the permissions granted are fake reduced by UAC, some programs don't know how to deal with this, as seen by the error message. Also note that "Application Data" is now AppData.

Re: Vista 64 ultimate & encryption?

With hidden OS files shown in options theres links to old folders.. I guess this is the virtualization of the old style file system.. with OS files hidden these links are hidden.. guess I don't need to be concerned with these links, all my data is stored in the new file structure..

It's only these links that give error messages.
