Barren, Mr Mann, not baron.

If someone bought Ultimate on the understanding that more was to come, then fair enough, though buying something when not knowing what is to come is questionable in my mind, but I guess if you only buy 1 Vista license, then you might as well pay the extra and cross your fingers.
Having seen some of the OS addons that MS has released in the past which you paid for (at around 20% of the price of the OS itself IIRC), I think what has been released is about as much as I was expecting - perhaps even more so in that it actually works (for me anyway).
Personally I just wanted Ultimate so that I could hook up to a domain and use Media Center on the same PC. MS then went and gave me another Ultimate license for free anyway, dammit.
Yup it seems that MS has sold its customers short on its promises.
Is there any non-Microsoft source that has a list of the differences between versions of Vista? I'm currently on XP Pro, probably going to be upgrading to Vista 64. I was going to go ultimate, but all versions have Aero now correct?
Dont think the basic home version does, home premium def has it.
I agree that the Extras aren't good enough yet. Mainly there aren't enough - I enjoy Dreamscene for example. You feel like you've been sold something under false pretences.
However it is a tiny bit misleading to suggest Stardock without mentioning that it does cost extra and doesn't actually exist yet (Feb 2008 for all Vista versions).
Also, Vista Ultimate is not just about extras - I thought Dreamscene was a nice idea, and I can afford the system resources with this current system - but the main reasons for me were the price difference being small, and the combination of Remote Desktop and Media Centre.
