It wont let me save the scores, so I pressed print screen at the end and then closed the program only to find the print screen was of the desktop.....!

I'll re-run it one more time.

It's always how it is
If their userbase was more Linuxey then you'd be getting better drivers.

I think we should all benchmark with the same standard settings, otherwise its almost impossible to compare.

So I recommend DX9, 1280*1024, 4xAA, Anisotropy 16x, and the rest at stock.

Why such high AA and AF settings? That'll make the test a bit meaningless on cards with less than 512mb memory I'd expect.

The anisotropy is already set at 16x, and I suppose we can take off the AA. Since you have 256mb card, do a test with both and post up the difference.

My 2900gt is also 256mb. I ran it:

with 4AA and got 7.6fps, 192 score
Without 4AA got 11.9fps, 300 score

LOL well my card can't cope with it fullstop I just tried a whole range of settings and never got above 2fps

OpenGL ran quite a bit faster, but didn't look very good so I'm suspicious of the rendering accuracy.

edit: looks like my card hits a memory or bandwidth limit - if I run at 1280x800 with full benchmark settings I get 17+ fps and a score of 450. As soon as I go above that the fps drops to 2.
