    Thnx, Dave.

Oh, Nice one, thanks. Can you define access rights for each individual program with comodo ? or is it a blanket high, medium, low approach ?

Edit: nm, found some reviews. It appears to be very good, allowing you to fine tune access even down to the program type/port requirements, and has av & as aswell, Cheers 0id

Cricky ! You can pick this security suite up for just 35 quid ! omg lol. well it seems the days of £150 security suites are gone. I never knew it was that cheap, i mean thats less than the price of a good game. This defiantly makes Kaspersky an affordable option.

Can you give any comments on your experience with Kaspersky lodore ?

Erm... might be worth taking a look at this and this if you have more than one PC.

Did anyone ever (barring corporates) pay £150 for an internet security package? I remember in the bad old days when Norton used to set you back £60 or so, but never £150.

    Re: 64-Bit Firewall.

The built-in Windows firewall is good enough if you're plugged into a LAN and route internet traffic through a gateway of some kind and wont nag you unless some application tries to listen in on an external port.

There's no catch, it's OEM so comes without a shiny box and manual (essentially you get a paper slip case with the CD and a license key printed on it), but the license is perfectly valid. I just renewed my 3 machine license a few weeks back - updates all run as they should.

The only other possible "catch" is that I don't believe you're entitled to support as an OEM user (ie you provide your own support) but when was the last time you contacted your AV vendor for support?

    What about this one: http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?W...ar+DVD+Edition

Says it's a DVD Edition, and appears to come in dvd box, this one should have tech support, and come with a manual yea ?

    Hello,
    sorry for the delay.
I have used kaspersky since version 6 and it works great.
it went version 6,version 7 and now 2009 version.

if you need any assistance ask at the Kl forums

99percent of issues with a new security suite is remaindents of the security software before it. so before you install current secuirty software download their removal tool.
    1.uninstall via add/remove programs
    2.reboot
    3. use removal tool to fully remove current secuirty software.
    4. reboot
    5. install kaspersky
    6. tick "other programs" its part of the installation wizard. its on the detection catogories page.

    hope this helps.
