Backing up my OS install

Hi Everyone,
You might have to bear with me here as i'm a little outside of my knowledge base...

I usually have to reinstall my OS at least 3 times a year for various reasons (new hardware, me messing it up, spyware, slow-downs etc.) and this is a bit of a pain. I've now got together a collection of the sort of 'bare-bones' software installers I use on all my installs, which makes things a little easier.

I'm wondering if there's a way of backing up your personal settings, drivers, registry and that sort of thing to make the process easier.

You are probalby easier just taking an image of the clean install and then re-imaging when you need fresh start. The only thing this won't cover is if you replace major hardware, like the motherboard or perhaps graphics card.

not IME lol. plus other people's experience isnt good eiether. if it works for you then you are very lucky.
i reccomend paragon drive backup and image for windows
