Does this mean UK users will be able to upgrade rather than install afterall then?
I managed to order the Windows 7 from Argos. I have a previous verison of Vista.
Am i legally allowed to sell my Vista? i have have previously installed it.
Is it a retail copy or oem?
But if microsoft ship a browser, how will Lynx never get to be the dominant platform, damn monopolists! If there was a ballot screen to select the browser microsoft will be careful to provide other browsers which don't work properly for one reason or another. Personally I think its dumb an os having to be shipped these days without a browser, even my phone comes with one, the same with a media player. The provision of that has not stopped Itunes being very popular, if companies have a compelling business model they are successful.
In the end all you are doing is buying Windows Vista 7 not Windows 7.
Windows Vista was 6. So you're buying Windows 6-2 ;) Like CoD 4-2!
It might be the fact that I'm tired and have completely missed something obvious but will a pre-existing order for 7 Pro at, say, Play stand?
I can't help but notice that it was clearly titled as "Windows 7 Professional E"... it ain't E anymore...
Err AFAIK yes - you will just get the normal version rather than the 'E' one.
