Mornin'

two PC's on our network running XP pro seem to be struggling with files on the network. It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes files cannot be open because of a sharing violation.

On looking at the Open files section of computer management on the w2k server, you can see that there are alot of files open by the users using the XP machines, that they have had open in the past, but aren't currently open.

On disconnecting the user from these files, they are able to open them again, no probs.

I've tried what microsoft suggest, which is to change the explorer view to classic, but this makes no difference.

There are plenty of other XP pro machines on the network that open network files no problem.

Any ideas? Thanks
