Internet connection sharing... sharing

Hi all,

Got a bit of a problem. I'm connected to the internet via a host server running internet connection sharing, which I am connected to via ethernet cable and a hub. The problem is I am currently building a number of pcs, and to set these up i really need access to files on my main pc and also the internet - but when I connect my pc (it has two ethernet ports) to another pc via crossover and enable the connection, the ICS connection in network connections disappears - is there any way to stop this happening?

Are both the ethernet ports built onto the mobo itself or is one of them an PCI card?
