    Dvd low volume problems

Was trying to watch a dvd tonight and just remembered that all my dvds seem to play with extremely low volume. This is even the case when i turn up the pc sound to full and my 5.1set to full. However when i turn it to two speaker mode it plays it fine. Ive tried many different players with no effect at all. Any ideas?

Ah finally somebody who thinks their dvd playback is quiet besides me!!!
I have some logitech x620's, and i suffer the same fate as you. There are two solutions I have found to be effective:
    1. In power dvd, from audio options turn sound to Quiet Environment, Boosted Sound. That should help a tad.

    or
    2. (BEST SOLUTION) get a program called DVD X Player from www.dvd-x-player.com and setup sound to your 5.1 config and just listen to it.. i think you'll agree its a lot louder! Just a shame you can only watch 10 mins per run in the trial, but just give it a shot and see what you think, if you like you can purchase it for a small amount, or PM me This program will also play ANY region dvd discs, without changing the region on your drive!
