Spybot - is this the best bit of software?

i have a few pop ups coming up when i loads any web sites up on this PC at work, adaware sorts 90% of my probs, but does not find anything on this pc, i'm just gonna download spybot..

is this the best thing to use?

is it easy to install and run? as i have not used it before

any known bugs or probs with this program?

    thanks Bobby!

you need _THREE_ pieces of software to effectively police an Internet Explorer based system: Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware, and CWShredder.

there may be some overlap, but on the whole they police different things. only all three gives effective IE morning-after abortion.

I use Javacool Spyware Blaster as well as Spybot. Sometimes it pick up things Spybot misses.

There is one program to add to that list. HijackThis, the single most useful piece of IE browser software ever .

    http://www.spychecker.com/program/hijackthis.html

    Get it.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
