    Nero 5.5 burning speeds

    I have nero 5.5 and a lite on dvd/cd re writer 812S, I cannot seem to burn any cds at anything faster than 4x. There is no drop down to change the speed as this is greyed out. What is going on please peeps?

    Is it an oem version? or a *free one? it could be burner specific! or the media...
