Well how about this one. *starts religious war.. actually. continues it*

I went to the job centre plus website, and it doesn't 'work' in firefox. it has code to cope with IE and Netscape v 6. Forgive me bitching but it is illegal for the job centre to not have disability access to their buildings. Unfortunately they went overboard and allow only the invalids to use their website !

I emailed them to the effect of "use the web standards.. don't pander to IE 'standards', after u make a working website to the standards, botch it with thricks to back date it for IE".

    then i sniggered a little.

That was one funny blog entry. U know. my program that I wrote is, and I don't want people to laugh, brilliant !

IE doesnt suck. its just that its THE number one most used browser in the world, and therefore, if your gona write spyware/trojans/worms/virii, whats your first target going to be? yes it has many holes and exploits, but im sure other browsers do. otherwise there wuold be no need for updates ;x
i use opera myself, still think it has many things over firefox, such as the tabbed browsing in firefox is .. poor :|, and built in email & transfer thingy is nice prefer the skins ive found for opera aswell, spose its down to user preference.
er, if your northbridge fan is humming loudly, disconnect it. _dont_ kick the side of the case, it _will_ break it.
    i know :/

Its only number once because its bundled with Windows. People who dont have a clue about compuers and only "use it" (which is the majory of computer users probably) would be ignorant to other browsers, and think ah IE icon on my desktop this will do and never bother with other browsers because they feel they dont need to. Why would they when IE is already there. I think that if MS stopped bundleing IE with windows they would have a big decrease in the number of people using it. Of course your right with it being target for attacks since it is the biggest, but really tho MS must be getting pretty shammed with all the bad publicity it is getting at current.

Yes, IE is no.1 & therefore is biggest target - but it still sucks as well compared to Opera or Firefox/Mozilla.
Difference is that usually within 2 weeks of being notified of a problem Opera will have a patched version, IE still has holes that were notified over a year ago.
