    NERO DVD speeds

I have a Stack (2*25) of 4x "bulkbaq orange" DVD-R's, i have always used bulkbaq with no problems, but now when i put the DVD in and try to burn at 4x nero says the dicks can only be burnt at 2x

    - why is this, is there anyway i can get to run at 4x??

    - the DVD-RW is the LG mulitformat (DVD-R, DVD-RW DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM)

    thanks, daniel

Have you tried the discs in another burner? Have you tried any other software for burning to the dvd's?

i dont have another DVD burner, but the first half of the pack worked fine

    - i read somwhere that if you get a burn error nero can make you burn disks like it slower, and i did once switch the PC off 1/2 way though a burn - which, i guess caused it to fail!!!

You can get hacked firmware which allows certain media to burn faster than its recommended speed - maybe you could try that.
Flashing to unnoficial firmware voids the warranty though... try it at your own risk!
