    Question msn clone for linux...

    i have lindows and erm altho im happy using the erm default msn clone im client (gaim), i was thinkin about trying the various other msn clones for linu x.so what would be the best msn clone for linux.?also how do i compile them?as i have downloaded some but have to compile them to run them. so how do i compile and which is the best to use?

    AMSN is quite a good client, but on my linux box (slackware) i use miranda (windows software) in wine.

    erm, i would only really suggest amsn & gaim, i use gaim myself, great if you spend the time to tidy it up and personalise it
    er, if your northbridge fan is humming loudly, disconnect it. _dont_ kick the side of the case, it _will_ break it.

    infact, once theyve got webcam and sound setup for msn in gaim, ill use it in windows too

    erm i use gaim atm...comes with linspire...tis ok but i dont think u can send files or see erm display pics etc.... how the hell do i erm install theses progs???tis v complicated for a windows user so a easy to understand guide would be usefull.

    I have slackware on my comp and I use Amsn, which I think it's very nice! . And I really like the tux/linux-skin on it. The tux - pinguin it's so cute! Well, back to the point..amsn has worked very fine with me, it's like running the windows version, it's quite as simple..and it has a lot of new emoticons .

    gaim 0.79 and above (if memory serves) have full user image & msn file transfer support. 0.81 is current.

    and as for installing programs, hat's what linspire's click 'n' run warehouse is for

    lol arsen...tis pretty cool os tho.am tryin it out atm.liking what i have tried tho only thing that was annoying was compiling8-)
