    Question Windows update on firefox?

I've now started using firefox, because a lot of people have said that with IE you'll catch something real quick. I was just wondering if there was a way to download updates from the Windows update site using firefox (it say I need IE 5 or above). I do have auto update on, I just like to check back once in a while, just in case.

oh and please don't say "use linux"!

windowsupdate needs to be able to alter critical system files easily.

only msie gives easy access to your critical system files to websites

there's an extension to allow use of msie activex objects in firefox.

    it's a suicidal security breach.

Ah - well if it's a security breach, then I won't bother. The whole point of me moving to firefox was because so many people said IE was too much of a risk.

    Thanks anyway.
