Hibernate is not limited to XP - I've seen options for it all the way back in 98SE. Never did get it to work, though. According to the MS debug tool (I forget its name), my Riva TNT's driver didn't want it to power down.Originally posted by Caged

gotta be 2k pro, no phonin home, no pretty headache causing gui that looks like some kid got loose on it with the crayola packet, great security wise, doesnt install aload of utter s*ite, no u must keep msn, etc. Just Pure Stability.
tried xp pro for a week, then went back to a proper os, with crazy uptimes!
