With powertoys for windows theres a "paranoia" setting that can clean the temporary internet files when you close internet explorer.
You can get powertoys from the following url and the paranoia settings are in the tweakui section of the tools ;
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
Direct download :: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe
Open up a command prompt
Type cleanmgr /sageset: n (type any integer number, i.e. 1)
A dialog will appear asking for the the cleanup operations you want to perform. Choose the ones you want (i.e. tempory internet files). This will save a profile to the registry.
Open a new text document and type cleanmgr /sagerun: n (n being the value you specified in the sageset command) save this as 'filename.cmd'
Drag and drop this file to your scheduled tasks folder and schedule a time for it. It will perfrom the clean up actions you specified at the times you specified.

Excellent can this be used for cleandisk and defrag too. I have 1 HDD with 3 partitions that I would like to clean and defrag once a week.

to help the situation you can also reduce the amount of space Temp Internet Files uses - its under Internet Options > General
Yes you can.
I suggest you try this guide:

It does it slightly different to the way I do it, but its so similar it makes no odds.
