How do you go about editing an existing theme guys, not just like changing the colour of the toolbar etc, I mean adding images and stylising the way the window layout looks.

Ok, thanks for the suggestion Clstrphbc_donut, I'll try that out. I've had a go with some other theme editors, but they really lack the features that I want.

Well, at the moment I guess it'll look a bit like the Windows 2003. But I'd imagine it'll get its own theme at a later date.

I actually have a .iso of Longhorn Beta 4074, but I can't burn to DVD for some reason... Bloody laptop!

    Very stylish.

I would prefer an ultra-modern look to the next Windows, instead of happy family colours like blue and green. Ok, they included silver in XP, but it looked ****e, and looked even more like an afterthought..

Also, I think they should update the theming process. I'm not sure about you, but when I install a 3rd party theme sometimes, the theme is in the 'buttons' bit, and not where you would normally select a theme. Maybe if Microsoft updated their system of theming, this wouldn't happen. Such as, when you apply a theme, a greyed out settings area appears, which lets you then change settings.

Simple little change, but a worthwhile one.

I know, but they know people do it anyway, so surely giving some support for it, even if officially they don't like it, would save them face?

Even just for the official ones, it'd make sense to do it the way I've mentioned above. It would be much easier.
