nope, still no difference. i d/led the new skin from your link and that makes no differnce. i still can not see any other options in the appearences menu...grrr.

the only thing i can think of is the patchers i'm using is wrong? the one i'm using is 'UXTheme Multi-Patcher (Neowin Edition) 2.5.exe'

Can you try and download a visual style with a .theme file in it such as this one. http://www.geeknewz.com/board/lofive...php/t1293.html

lunaVX is a great theme, hopefully this one works!

Thanks for the tip Hans, it is now enabled and is a great little feature.

As for the Uxtheme patcher, make sure you have the correct version depending on what service pack you have. Although the one you have should detect the correct version to install. Try downloading version 2.51 http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707

    Links updated

No Apex he is not looking in the wrong tab. The theme tab is for visual styles with .theme files, if there is no .theme file then you have to go to the appearances tab and select the visual style from there.

Im not sure if you meant me or not Apex so I thought I would post anyway. (sorry about my poor paint skills)

As you can see all the visual styles that have .theme files are in the themes tab, and all the files that have .theme files PLUS all the files that do not have .theme files are displayed in the appearances tab.

Can you select non .theme files in the theme tab then Apex?
