Windows Server 2003... Will it run XP apps?

i am thinking of installing server 2003 in a second as my perminant os,as i have a 365 trial... will it run sygate personal firewall pro, and all xp apps and services such as anti-spyware and anti-virus etc.
time is of the essence guys

We use server 2003 on some of our workstations at work, and pretty much everything normal runs on it fine. Don't expect it to be any good at multimedia or 3d graphics though.

Certainly we run the same sygate antivirus on 2003 and xp I think. I'm posting this right now from firefox on 2003 with winamp and MSN running.

MOST things will run fine

exceptions are anything kernel-level, i.e. antivirus
