    Macromedia plugin...

OK, you know the thing i'm talking about, the internet explorer/firefox plugin you have to download and install.

    Why?

I reinstalled windows XP on my machine not long ago, switching to an older ati card from an nvidia one, installed firefox, had a browse, saw a window at the top of the screen saying 'click here to install' clicked there, and paused, and thought to myself, when did I last see a non-advert that I needed this plugin for? its a plugin that downloads adverts!!!

So why install it? Am I 'blind' for not seeing this before?
