    Windows Desktop Search

Just downloaded it, not BETA any more. Works very well, I am impressed...should I say [gulp] just as good as spotlight!

    The main window

These Results appear instantly as I type them

    Search the search! hmmmm??

Doesn't quite integrate anywhere near well with the UI though, does it.

It would look nice if all the menus were integrated into the blue area

I am more curious about those icons that are appearning on the right hand side of your desktop...those look like Mac software icons. Windows does not have high res shiny icons like that...

This was downloaded from MSN.com, click on the link to desktop search

That would be the YZ-dock, which simulates the apple dock. It has all the "resizing" effects like the mac version, but it was discontinued due to a lawsuit with apple, however you can still find copies lying about the net. Ive got a huge library of 128*128px icons which i d/l from various places on the net.

As for the desktop search, this has been a life saver for me. Ive got a Systems Development exam tomorrow, and the Adobe PDF plugin is amazing-lets you scan through all the PDFs on your disk, and search for ANY text inside them. It displays the files on the left, and a preview on the right, which I find is much more useful than Acrobats "Tile windows function"

heres what I was talking about

Sick..looks like I gotta check it out...though I never really use Search that much...I mean for one...I dont have enough stuff on my hdd to warrant a search tool like this...and 2 I just remember and organize my directories so I know where everything is and if I forget the directory naming scheme kinda helps me out there. Hehe but still worth checking out...nice job MS.
