WIN XP PRO Service pack

what is the big deal with installing XP Pro Service Pack 1.. and why do i hear such mixed feelings about it... some say install it and some say dont install it. i am a fan of "if it aint broke dont fix it" but it seems like i cant get updated USB drivers for XP unless i dnload the Service Pack..

it alters the memory management system, whihc can cause slowdown if you don't run windowsupdate afterwards

the main complaint against SP1 is it disables windowsupdate if it detects a copy of XP Corp with the commonly used Dell key.

download the pack, its worth it. If you dont like it use system restore to go back to how it was.

Its only cause the dell corp key was sent round the net and used by virtually everyone who had a warez copy.

Ive found i need sp1 otherwise i get usb probs and i find it works better.
