Exclamation 3D Card being Big Pain TBH!!!

Just installed Max Payne 2, Was Playable but was a bit slow some times in fire fights,

Remembered that when installing the game it told me AGP was not enabled.... So looked in BIOS.... Every think ok...

Looked in Direct X and under display told me

    Direct Draw Acceleration Enabled
    Direct 3D Acceleration Enabled
    AGP Texture Acceleration Disabled

So I thought I would update the drivers....
Got the new drivers and tried to install them, they didn't work,
so tried getting rid of them and installing back the previous drivers but every time I keep getting this error....

Can any Genius tell me why?

    Thanks 4 the Help....

+Had great time @ Multiplay Thanks people!
Post if u went as well...

After searching Google it seems you are not the only person to have this problem. Your system specification might help someone else solve your problem. I am assuming your OS is Windows XP from the little screen picture.

These links might be of some help to you:
    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=330174
    http://bermangraphics.com/problems/d...itefailure.htm

It seems like it might be a problem with HDD and Windows XP drivers.

    I found this information:
Regarding Delayed Write Failed error after installing ATI Enhanced drivers.

This issue can affect any device driver install under Windows XP. The issue is not specific to ATI.

In some instances, after installing the ATI display drivers, the error "Delayed Write Failed" will appear after restarting Windows. Not all configurations are affected.

In most instances this is a result of changes to the Virtual Memory and Memory Usage settings in the System Properties. Change the Memory Usage setting back to the default value of "Programs" will prevent the error from occurring. Also, you should set your Virtual Memory to system managed.

    - Open the System Properties
    - Select the Advanced tab
    - select Settings under Performance
    - select the Advanced tab
    - select the "Programs" option for Memory Usage

    okay... start here .

Download and install the hyperion drivers (we used to call them the 4in1's). After a reboot run dxdiag.exe nd see if you've now got AGP Texture Acceleration enabled.

Under the BIOS section you should find what you need to flash the motherboard BIOS. Looks like you have to download the “Aflash” BIOS update tool and the A7V-E BIOS file. I have not flashed an Asus before, but maybe someone who has can help you out? Be careful when you do this, if it goes wrong then you will most likely FUBAR your motherboard. Read the instructions/readme and follow them Make sure you have the correct motherboard BIOS file. Out of interest what makes you want to flash your BIOS?

Have you ruled out a problem with your hard drive? Has the delayed write error problem gone away? We do not want to be barking up the wrong tree.

Nice one. That was why I was asking why you wanted to flash your BIOS because if you do not need to then I would not run the risk. Happy gaming.
