Codec for Windows Media Center

Hey,

What is the best codec to use on a media center pc running Windows Media Center.

codec for what? One suitable for decoding whatever video youre trying to play would be the obvious answer. Or is it for encoding? In which case id say xvid, unless you have a card in there with hardware mpeg2 encoding, in which case go for that.

I use the nvidia DVD Decoder on my MCE unit for DVD and video (apart from divx/xvid)
