Win 2000 lost password help

Hi Guys….

We have been given a newish laptop here at the school I work at for a special needs pupil, it’s a fairly powerful lappy 1.7 cele, 256 ram.. it has windows 2000 installed at a user created that we can log in as… But!… we can’t install any programs as we are not the administrator, and we have no means of getting the password… failing a reinstall is there anything we can do?

Any help would be great
