Hi folks, is it possible to edit device manager using the Registry, my friends PC has 2 windows XP installs, one of which he accidentally uninstalled his Onboard GFx in Device Manager, when he reboots it gets to the Windows XP logo and the wee loading bar and then the screen goes blank - I know he logs on to Windows because you can hear the logon sound.
Is there any way to, from the other windows install, edit the registry of the other install to enable the monitor again?
I know it wont be as simple as opening regedit on the other install, wrong registry! - but is there some program that can open the other installs 'hive' files (correct term?) so I can edit the registry that way?
Cheers,
David
