Needed: A Map of the UK that I can add Sales Charts to

Top of the Mornin' to ya all

I am in need of the following.

A Map (in Excel? or HTML? Word? I dunno.....) of the UK, that I can trim to suit a Sales Area, and I need to be able to imput Sales Data into it, and upon the mark that I choose, a Bar Chart should spring into being.

So.....COmpany A are in London, and I position an Icon over their Geographic position, and on another page,or along the bottom, I whack a sales number into it, and a large coloured splodge, or towering Bar Chart column should appear, it's size in direct proportion to the sales.

Company B are close by in West London, and I get to place another icon there, and when the sales input figure for that is added, same happens,

    Ditto 30 other companies.

Is there any way of doing this simply and clearly guys?

Cheers for any input. It's an idea I had this morning, and it's bound to exist, but where? And if anyone sorts out a way of doing it, I guess it's gonna be popular!

Not at all sure on this but I think Excel 2003 can do this
Bet its not simple to setup the first time though

Another thought: The map data doesn't have to be dynamic or anything does it?

How about just takeing a screenshop of a google map and adding it to a spreadsheet with the rest of the data?

Insert your charts, put the map as the background.

Open the control toolbar. Insert an image control, and set the properties up so that it shows your pointer image. Right click said image control, choose view code.

Enter teh following code in the <image_name>.click process (it should open at this.

    Code:
    If Worksheets("Sheet1").ChartObjects("Chart1").Visible Then
    Worksheets("Sheet1").ChartObjects("Chart1").Visible = False
    Else
    Worksheets("Sheet1").ChartObjects("Chart1").Visible = True
    End If
This assumes your worksheet is called Sheet1 and your chart Chart1. You can find the name of a chart by selecting it, it says its name next to the formula bar.

If you want a show/hide all button the code is:
    Code:
    Dim n
    For n = 1 To Worksheets("Sheet1").ChartObjects.Count
    if Worksheets("Sheet1").ChartObjects(n).Visible then
    Worksheets("Sheet1").ChartObjects(n).Visible = False
    else
    Worksheets("Sheet1").ChartObjects(n).Visible = True
    End If
    Next n
again, assuming that your sheet is called sheet 1.

Microsoft Mappoint was designed for stuff like this...

You can import statistical data and map it to postcodes etc.

Its quite flexible but dont know if it will do exactly as you ask.
